This complete remodel of 6,000 square feet of restaurant, bar, and outdoor lounge area created an atmosphere of low-key glamour without being too trendy. The laid back decor takes its cues from the five elements. Large panels feature the Chinese character for each of the elements; details include an illuminated water sculpture at the entrance; there’s a soothing central patio.
More recently, the restaurant has seen another remodeling under new ownership. Yi Cuisine, now Celadon, remains modern and elegant, retaining much of the original design by Michael Lee Architects.
